A key code is an easy way to configure your HomePortal 1800HG to work with your broadband connection and with your Internet Service Provider.
However there is some information that is unique to your installation that the key code cannot configure. Your specific information should have been sent to you by your service provider. You must have this information to complete the setup process successfully.
In some cases you will be asked for your personal login ID and password. If you do not have this yet, you may need to go to a special Web page managed by your service provider to create your personal login ID and password before your HomePortal 1800HG installation can be completed.
Be sure to read through all of the information sent to you by your service provider to ensure that you have all of the required information. This information may have come to you in a separate package before you received your HomePortal 1800HG.
